CSR Club’s objectives:
- Distributing and promoting positive experience with CSR
- Involving stakeholders (NGOs, business and government) in discussion of CSR issues.
- Enhancing CSR prestige.
- Developing effective models of social partnership at different levels.
- Promoting value of social investments.
- Identifying roles and significance of business and individuals in civil society development in Kazakhstan.
- Raising awareness and informing society and stakeholders about CSR through organization of trainings, lectures, etc.
- Supporting various initiatives aimed at developing and promoting CSR or solving social issues.
Club’s work format:
- The Club members meet once ever two months. In between the meetings, members can communicate via internet and on the Facebook page. During project implementation, the members can meet more often.
- Club membership is open and free.
- The Club members can invite guest speakers from NGOs, businesses and government organizations.

ADALYAT ABDUMANAPOVA, expert, trainer
Adalyat specializes in corporate governance, corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Adalyat worked as a Team Leader of Kazakhstan Corporate Governance Project and an Associate Operations Officer of Sustainable Business Advisory, International Finance Corporation (IFC). Prior to joining IFC Adalyat worked as a Legal and Administrative Advisor for PalTel International Co, Senior Lawyer at GRATA Law Firm and Analyst in Business and Human Resource Centre (London, UK).
Adalyat holds LLM degree (with honors) from the University of Essex (UK) in Business and Human Rights Law, BA in Finance Management from the International Business Academy and LLB degree (with honors) from the Kazakh State Law Academy. More than 10 publications have been produced by Adalyat on the different corporate governance and corporate social responsibility issues. She also was one of the leading drafter of Corporate Governance Curriculum developed by IFC for the Central Asia universities. Contact details:

BAKHYTNUR OTARBAYEVA, Head of Lab of Social Business Responsibility in International Academy Business
Bakhytnur Otarbayeva graduated from Kazakh State University in 1980. She defended her dissertation in Kazakh history in 1989. In 1994 she was a visiting scholar in Indiana University due to a Fulbright fellowship. In 1996 she won a scholarship from the Woodrow Wilson Center and worked at the Kennan Institute as a researcher. In 2005, she won Joel Fleishman Fellowship of Duke University.
In 2007 she worked as vice-rector for international relations in the Kazakh Economic University. In 2010 she defended her doctoral dissertation “Formation of social partnership in Kazakhstan”. Now she is a head of Lab of Social Business Responsibility in International Academy Business.
BOLAT ZHANTURIYEV, Market Access and Government Relations Manager, MSD Vostok B.V.
Bolat Zhanturiyev graduated from Leningrad Public Health and Medical Institute trained as a Medical Officer of Public Health. In 1999, he graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of Kazakhstan with a degree in Public Service Management; and in 2008, he completed a Doctor of Business Administration (D.B.A.) degree at the Academy of National Economy under the Government of the Russian Federation, Moscow, and the International Academy of Business, Almaty.
Mr. Zhanturiyev is currently working as Market Access and Government Relations Manager for Kazakhstan and Central Asia at the representative office of the American pharmaceutical company MSD Vostok B.V.
Mr. Zhanturiyev is a member of the Kazakhstan Independent Directors Association (KIDA), a member of an interdisciplinary group to develop proposals for and changes in corporate governance legislation, Secretary General of the RK Sport Fishing Federation, a category 1 judge, and a Master of Sport of Kazakhstan in Sport Fishing.

GAUKHAR KOZHASHEVA, Project Manager, Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia
Gaukhar has been working with Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia (EFCA) since July 2007 as a Development Associate and later as a Project Manager. She now administers first web-site on corporate social responsibility (CSR) in Kazakhstan www.csrkz.org and manages CSR and corporate volunteering projects. Previously Gaukhar managed projects in the area of education and crafts. Prior to joining EFCA, she worked at the Korean Embassy in Kazakhstan and in the Vigyan Vijay Foundation (India).
Gaukhar has BSs degree in International Relations and Economics from KIMEP and MSc degree in Business and Community from the University of Bath (UK). Gaukhar is a member of CSR working group at the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan and she also administers the work of CSR Club in Kazakhstan.

MEIRAMKUL KHODJASHOVA, Area CSR & Communications Manager, British American Tobacco CCA
Ms. Khodjashova was born in Almaty, graduated from High School #12, named after Kirov (currently after Valikhanov), and received a diploma of a teacher of English and French from Almaty Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages in 1986. From 1995 through 1997 she studied at the University of Georgia, USA pursuing Masters degree in Public Administration, being a scholar of Edmond Muskie fellowship program.
She has an extensive working experience in the non-governmental sector and has previously worked at ACTR/ACCELLS, Soros Foundation and USAID project Local Government Initiative. From 2004 through 2007 she worked for the group of companies PetroKazakhstan. From May 2004 through December 2006 she worked for PetroKazakhstan Oil Products, Shymkent division, leading Training and Personnel Development Unit of the Downstream Business Unit. Starting December 2006 she was promoted to the corporate Training manager position, and was responsible for Training component of the corporate office, by supervising training activities of all five Business Units.
Since January 2008 she is working as Area Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications Manager at British American Tobacco. She is responsible for Corporate Social Responsibility and Social Investment Programs, Youth Smoking Prevention Program, Responsible Marketing, and Harm Reduction programs of the company in the Caucasus and Central Asia Area.
PAVEL TYMENTSEV, Development Manager, Eurasia Foundation of Central Asia
Pavel Tymentsev joined EFCA as a Development Manager in 2010. Pavel has extensive experience in the CSR sector, having worked both in the corporate and nonprofit sectors throughout Kazakhstan. Pavel holds a Masters Degree in International Administration from the University of Denver with a concentration in Social Development. At the current position with EFCA, Pavel Tymentsev is responsible for overall development of EFCA project areas including promotion of CSR in Kazakhstan.
RAUSHAN KANAYEVA, Deputy Director of Corporate Development, KIMEP
Ms. Kanayeva has worked at KIMEP since 2004. She is responsible for fundraising for the institutional and academic development foundations, alumni liaison and organizing the annual graduation ceremony. She is active in community development through the participation of KIMEP. She organized a training workshop for persons with disabilities with the support of the Japan International Agency of Cooperation (JAICA), where the coaches were Japanese people with disabilities. She has been a member of the CSR Club since 2011. Along with other members, she has been involved in developing rules and criteria for the Paryz and Ar-Namys competitions in corporate social responsibility.
As a member of the NGO Network of Experts on Sustainable Development of Central Asia, Raushan was involved in numerous sustainable development projects and in developing sustainable development indicators for the RK. She was a delegate to the World Summit on Sustainable Development in Johannesburg in 2002. Prior to joining KIMEP, Raushan worked at the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation.
